million-dollar newsletter insight

small change. huge difference in revenue.

When you're selling a $5K, $10K, or even $50K offer...

Your funnel is everything.

You can’t just throw up a landing page, run cold traffic, and expect someone to hand over thousands of dollars.

People don’t buy high-ticket unless they trust you.

And trust takes time.

We had a very valuable insight recently.

We were running cold traffic to a newsletter funnel.

Qualified leads would opt in, and we’d immediately redirect them to a “book a call” page.

Sounds smart, right?

Get them while they’re hot.

But here’s what actually happened:

The leads who booked right after opting in had a much lower conversion rate.

The leads who stuck around… opened emails… got value for a few weeks… then booked a call?

Much higher conversion rate.

We ran the numbers. It wasn’t even close.

Turns out, we were burning leads by pushing for the close too fast.

So we killed the redirect.

Now those same leads take their time (4 to 12 weeks) before raising their hand.

But when they do, they’re ready and pre-sold.

And the sales team actually enjoys the calls now.

Moral of the story:

If you’re playing the high-ticket game, don’t rush it.

Let the funnel do the work.

Build trust → deliver value → then make the ask.

That’s how you win.

Best,
